Hi Everyone,

The Cerebral Palsy Association of Alberta has opened registration for their summer programs, including art, music, gardening and more. Please see for more info and to register.

The International Jazz Days Festival is running from April 24-30 this year, with free live music each day throughout the city. There are some paid shows, as well. Find out more at or check out the attached schedule.

The Calgary Comic Expo is also happening from April 25-28, featuring the cast of Back to the Future! You can find the Expo’s accessibility policy at and all other info about the event through that site as well.



Apr 22: Seed Saving 101 @ Community Natural Foods (1304 10 Ave SW) 7-8:30pm. Learn how to save seeds from your garden to use next year.

Apr 24: Demystifying Basic Income @ CommunityWise Resource Centre (223 12 Ave SW) 6:30pm. If you want to know more about what basic income means, and could mean for you, this is a great workshop. Admission is free, but donations are welcome.

Apr 26: Parade of Wonders @ 8 St & Stephen Ave, to Olympic Plaza. Starts at 10:30am, as part of the Calgary Comic Expo. All parade participants must be in full costume, spectators are very welcome though! For more info and to register as a participant, go to

Apr 26-29: Calgary City Nature Challenge @ everywhere within city limits. Take photos and upload them to , then from Apr 30-May 5, explore  to identify the photos taken from around the city. All info can be found at

Apr 27: Community Breakfast @ Inside Out Theatre community space, Eau Claire Mall (200 Barclay Parade SW) 10 am-1pm. This free waffle breakfast is open to anyone, and geared towards finding out what programs people want to see from Inside Out Theatre. Go to to find out more or to reserve your breakfast spot.

Apr 27: Spring arts & crafts sale @ Scenic Acres Community Centre (8825 Scurfield Dr NW) 9am-2pm. Local artisan and crafter booths, with a raffle in support of the Calgary Humane Society. has all of the info.

Apr 27: Ramadan & Eid Bazaar @ Forest Heights Community Association (4909 Forego Ave SE) 10am-4pm. Food, festive decorations, and lots more.

Apr 27: Experience the Reservoir @ South Glenmore Park (9035 24 St SW) 1-4pm. this is an all-ages scavenger hunt to help you get to know the reservoir area better.


Apr 22: Community Yoga with Tawfiq @ Sunalta Community Hall (1627 10 Ave SW) 5:45-6:45 pm. Admission by donation.

Apr 23: Engaging with Elders @ CommunityWise Resource Centre (223 12 Ave SW) 6pm. This event is the first in a monthly series of Elder Circles. This month is a gathering with Helmer Twoyoungmen of the Stoney Nakota Nation, who will be sharing Indigenous stories and wisdom. Suggested donation of $15 goes toward the Elder who is sharing each month.

Apr 23: Survival Plant Walk @ Pearce Estate Park (1440 17A St SE) 10am-Noon. Learn about the edible, medicinal and practical plants that grow all around us. Suggested donation of $10-20 per person, but no one is turned away. Learn more at

Apr 27: MOSAIC Family Eid Mela @ Falconridge Castleridge Community Association (95 Falshire Dr NE) Admission is $2, tons of stalls with food, activities, games and shopping heading up to Ramadan.

Apr 26& 27: Ujamaa Grandma’s Fabric and Yarn Sale @Woodcliff United Church (5010 Spruce Drive SW) 10am-7pm both days. Admission is $2. This annual sale is HUGE and you can find amazing deals on all sorts of fibre craft supplies.

Apr 27 & 28: Calgary Pet Expo @ Spruce Meadows, $10 at the door, $8 in advance from pets, products, and entertainment for all types of animal friends.

Apr 27 & 28: Spring Food Truck Frenzy @ C-Square, East village (7 Ave & 4 St SE) 11am-7pm. $5 admission for the weekend, plus the cost of food you want to try, free entry for seniors. There will be live music and DJs for entertainment.
